JOB REQUIREMENTS: POSITION SUMMARY: The COMPAS Assessor/Treatment Court Case Manager provides screening, assessment, and administrative services across the Justice Support Services Department COMPAS/Treatment Court(s) to best support the risk and program needs associated with offenders entering the St. Croix County community justice system. Results of these assessments are communicated to the court system in an effort to match defendants to appropriate supportive programming. The COMPAS Assessor/Treatment Court Case Manager will provide an array of administrative support worker services with Treatment Court participants to support the Treatment Court program(s). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be required and assigned. - Organize assessment and screening for offenders/defendants using the COMPAS or other tools identified through the referral process. - Schedule face to face assessments with individuals, across County locations to identify needs including substance abuse, criminogenic needs, risk level, medical, psychological, vocational, social, family and daily living. - Provide direct assistance and support to Treatment Court participants. Provide information to connect Treatment Court participants with available community resources. Monitor participant compliance with Treatment Court case plans and GPS tracking as requested; provide reports of compliance and/or identified needs to Treatment Court Coordinator, Treatment Court Judge and Treatment Court Team as required via administrative protocols and/CORE database system. - Collects, validates, records and maintains Treatment Court participant data using the WI Department of Justice (DOJ) CORE Reporting system and other electronic databases. Monitors data to provide program trends, strengths, needs and outcomes. Provides program data and reports to the Treatment Court Coordinator, Treatment Court Judge, Treatment Court Team, and other key stakeholders as required. - Facilitate cognitive-behavioral groups (MRT) with Treatment Court participants. - Develop systems to take participant fees, track payments, update records of various programs/requirements. - Develop and maintain working relationships with the Courts, law enforcement, District Attorney\'s office, Public Defenders office, DOC, jail personnel, and various community stakeholders to improve supervision and Justice Support services coordination of COMPAS assessing and Treatment Court(s) participant needs. - Develop and maintain confidential filing system; facilitate data collection necessary to identify and monitor local trends related to court case processing, prevalence of specific risk and needs factors, etc. - Attend regular meetings of the WI Department of Justice (DOJ) Treatment Alternatives and Diversion (TAD) Grant project team. Assist with data collection and preparation of annual grant applications. - Attend bi-monthly meetings of the St. Croix County Community Justice Collaborating Council (CJCC). Assist in the preparation of relevant data and reports to the Council as requested. Participate in CJCC subcommittee meetings as requested and related activities as assigned. - Supports and provides assistance to the Treatment Court Coordinator in collecting information and documentation to support case planning and consultation. Performs general clerical duties such as keyboarding, filing, photocopying, faxing/e-mailing correspondence, and mail preparation. - Document all COMPAS referral contacts and assessments; prepare assessment reports and other written materials; comply with all record-keeping requirements. Enters assessments results into the CORE Reporting System for Diversion participants as required. - Attend training and other work-related conferences as necessary to stay current with relevant best practice standards, local/state/national trends and technology as it relates to treatment courts, diversion programs, risk and needs assessments, and other criminal justice activities. - Serve as the primary backup to the Substance Screener for drug testing purposes. This may include working at both the Government Center and Services Center. - Contribute administrative work in the Family Treatment Court such as returning emails and phone calls to clients. - Maintains complete and accurate case records for each participant, including COMPAS narrative and bar chart records, case plans. records of appointments, payments, case review dates, due dates, and other relevant information. - Other duties as assigned. ** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS - Associate degree related to criminal justice, social services, or a support office setting related to those involved in the justice or behavioral health setting. - Three (3) years of progressively more responsible experience with treatment programs, screening, assessing, and interventions for justice involved supportive services. - Experience working in a county government system, preferred. - COMPAS and MRT license must be acquired within 6 months of hire. - Must successfully pass criminal background check. ** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply Online: www.sccwi.gov
