THE POSITION

The Bureau of Health Statistics and Registries is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated individual to join our team in the Division of Statistical Registries. By becoming an integral member of our staff, you will help us continue to manage our statewide registries of vital records. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will support the bureau's mission of managing statewide registries for vital events by supervising the activities related to amending birth registry case records. Your work will involve maintaining a complete and thorough knowledge of the allowable corrections and amendments to birth records. You will investigate suspicious information or inconsistencies in requests to correct or amend a birth record by analyzing the information on the application and the eligibility documentation. One of your duties will include developing employee productivity benchmarks and outcome measures based on the analysis of workload, workflow, and external factors influencing productivity and quality. Additionally, you will analyze operational procedures and policies for effectiveness and efficiency, fraud deterrence, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
This position will have two weeks minimum of mandatory on-site training.
Telework: This position may be eligible to telework part-time. The typical schedule for this position will include two onsite days per week. You may also be required to work onsite as dictated by operational and training needs. Specific details of the telework schedule will be discussed during the interview process. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
