AEP is seeking talented and motivated Administrative Assistant Associate - Administrative Assistant Sr. to become an integral part of our team.

What You'll Do:

Major responsibilities : under immediate supervision, perform basic administrative duties, following well-defined, standard procedures; prepare documents, reports, and spreadsheets, etc. as needed to support the business unit. Maintain files and calendars as needed. Utilize Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint as well as other department software/systems as needed.

Communication and interpersonal skills: listens to and understands written and verbal instruction, communicates effectively with co-workers and other employees and customers. Work effectively and productively with others. actively helps others with assignments as necessary to maintain department productivity.

Customer focus: answer customer questions; refer questions to others as needed; actively learns the function of the department to assist customers more effectively; exhibits concern and sensitivity to others.

Problem solving and initiative: applies basic education and training in job responsibilities and assignments; asks questions when unsure of how to handle an assignment and demonstrates ability and initiative to handle assignments beyond the routine.

What We're Looking For:

Administrative Assistant Associate

Education requirements: High school diploma or GED

Work Experience : One year of administrative work experience. Demonstrated computer proficiency including the use of Microsoft Office Products. Must possess the ability to organize data and processes and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Displays good analytical and problem solving skills.

Administrative Assistant

Education requirements: High school or GED

Work Experience: Six-nine months of post-high school experience in learning and utilizing administrative office procedures, practices and equipment (i.e. business English, grammar, spelling, punctuation, letter writing, telephone technique) desirable. Must possess the ability to organize data and processes and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Displays good analytical and problem solving skills. Demonstrated proficiency with computers and the use of office oriented software products

Administrative Assistant Sr

Education: High school graduate or GED. Experience in utilizing administrative office procedures, practices and equipment (i.e. business English, grammar, spelling, punctuation, letter writing, telephone technique) desirable.

Experience: The minimum experience necessary for this position should include a total of 3 to 4 years of related experience or the equivalent, normally obtained by progression through the classification of Administrative Associate. Experience should also include varied business situations or circumstances which tend to favorably develop the job incumbent in terms of confidentiality, maturity, discretion, personal tact, judgment and initiative. Must possess the ability to organize data and processes and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Displays good analytical and problem solving skills. Demonstrated proficiency with computers and the use of office oriented software products.

Administrative Assistant $ 21.94/hr - $26.86/hr

Administrative Assistant Sr $25.23/hr - $31.54/hr

Compensation Range:

$18.32-22.90 USD

The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S - Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
