Description We are looking for a detail-oriented entry-level Accountant to join our team in Novi, Michigan. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting essential accounting processes. Responsibilities:

Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.

Conduct account reconciliations to support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Monitor job cost accounting to track project expenses and profitability.

Analyze Work-In-Progress (WIP) data to assess project status and financial implications.

Assist in compiling documentation and data for internal and external audits.

Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and systems.

Support financial reporting by preparing accurate and timely reports as needed.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies. Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

Proficiency in preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts.

Strong understanding of account reconciliations and month-end closing processes.

Familiarity with audit procedures and the preparation of relevant documentation.

Knowledge of job costing and Work-In-Progress (WIP) analysis a plus

Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
