Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
Experience in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), with a focus on Revenue (ASC 606) Accounting in a public accounting or multinational company setting.
Preferred qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
Experience with SQL and growing business decisions by analyzing data sets
Ability to have a collaborative style and work with cross-functional and international teams.
Ability to have strong attention to details, and to communicate effectively with executive management.
Excellent investigative, and organizational skills.

In this role, you will partner with product, engineering, and sales teams through design and implementation of product enhancements across Google's core business (digital advertising). You will build accounting processes to support the cultivation of the core business growth-generating areas.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$146,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage global processes for the accounting of Ads business growth, including contra-business growth accruals, sales allowance, deferred business growth, and the related balance sheet reconciliations
Partner with engineering and other cross-functional business partners to define, establish, and implement accounting systems, processes and procedures. Review processes and implement controls to ensure mitigated risk for Google.
Perform month-end close processes, including agreement review, processing payments, and preparing/posting journal entries. Prepare and present financials to management and support with any Ad-hoc requests from cross-functional teams.
Identify opportunities and implement programs to centralize, eliminate, automate or send out activities. Work with providers to send out established or mature processes and manage ongoing activities.
Work through accounting implications and confirm we can operationally support business agreements. Provide accounting guidance to sales, product and other cross-functional teams.
