About our group: The wafer manufacturing department has responsibility for staffing and improving operations in the wafer factory. This enables Seagate's strategy of delivering ever larger capacity storage including next generation MOZAIC drives to our customers. Come be part of the team in one of the world's most technologically advanced factories. As a Wafer Manufacturing team member, you will have responsibility to enact efficiency improvements in our wafer factory. Exact details will be determined closer to the project start, but possible areas include AI advancement to gain efficiency, yield improvements, factory business process, and governance support. You will have the opportunity to work with other engineers in the department and have a supporting role with frontline management teams and their projects. About the role - you will: Compile and organize information to assist AI advancement Observe and interview operators to understand barriers to success Map business processes Collect stakeholder input to design and implement solutions Present findings and solutions to management About you: Data analytics skillsets Operational efficiency Your experience includes: Data processing and visualization skills (MS Excel, etc.) Lean Tools and Methods Seeking applicants currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and returning for classes in Fall 2026 Location: Our Normandale campus spans two suburbs, Edina and Bloomington, and serves as the Recording Head development and manufacturing arm of Seagate. On-site cultural festivals, celebrations, and community volunteer opportunities also abound. The estimated base wage range for this position is $22 - $29/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible Interns, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, and participation in the employee stock purchase plan. Seagate also offers Interns 12 paid holidays and a minimum of 48 hours of paid sick leave. The benefits for this position are based on a 24 to 40-hour-per-week schedule for a full calendar year and may differ depending on work location and tenure with the Company.
