Provide thorough physical therapy evaluations. Establish and carry out comprehensive PT treatments. Communicate with physicians or other professionals as appropriate. Adhere to rules & regulations regarding patient safety and privacy. Identify "red flags" and appropriately manage patients presenting with health concerns beyond the scope of PT. Provide high quality, comprehensive therapy, and customer service, including the development of maintenance therapy planning for appropriate patients. Accept patients without a physicians' referral, with strict adherence to Minnesota regulations of such. Provide efficient patient scheduling and services and assist in achieving team financial and patient/customer service goals. Communicate and collaborate effectively with physicians and other professionals. Complete daily notes of treatments, initial and discharge summaries, and interim progress notes. Complete coding and billing in an accurate, thorough, timely manner. Adhere to rules & regulations regarding patient privacy and security. Adhere to all State, Federal, Medicare, Clinic and insurance-specific billing and coding regulations and policies. Adhere to all State, Federal, Medicare, Clinic and insurance-specific documentation regulations and guidelines. Provide timely, meaningful therapy progress to referring physicians, including the use of Rehab Updates as appropriate. Perform miscellaneous departmental duties as requested or assigned. Assess equipment/facility routinely for safely and functional efficiency. Assist with in-service training, program development and activities related to marketing and program expansion. Promote teamwork among all operating sites and between Clinic departments. Understand, adhere to and assist with improvements of policies and procedures outlined in the Rehab Handbook and Emergency Operations Plan. Participate in practice improvements by implementing changes to procedures/workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement, and assisting with the delivery of compassionate and personalized patient care. Perform miscellaneous clerical and clinical duties. Education and Experience: Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy. Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy. Minimum of two years of experience as Physical Therapist with interest/experience in neurology strongly preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Good human relations; Ability to work as a member of a team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Patient centered, strong customer service orientation. Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines and troubleshoot and resolve problems. Ability to work independently, exhibit mature judgment and make sound decisions. Strong focus on patient safety; ability to discern red flags and manage with exceptional judgment. Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost judgment and discretion. Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office products and electronic health record.
