Description We are looking for a dedicated Housing Assistant to join our team in Spring Valley, New York. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to provide administrative support and deliver exceptional customer service to residents. The role requires a tech-savvy individual who is comfortable handling challenging situations with professionalism and care.

Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations in the housing department.

Assist residents with inquiries and address concerns in a courteous and empathetic manner.

Utilize software tools and state guidelines effectively, following comprehensive training.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to housing programs and resident interactions.

Communicate with residents professionally, including those experiencing challenges, to resolve issues.

Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with housing policies and procedures.

Support leasing activities by managing applications and providing relevant information to prospective residents.

Monitor and update housing databases to ensure information is current and organized.

Handle a variety of administrative tasks, including scheduling and correspondence.

Contribute to a positive and welcoming environment for residents and staff alike. Requirements - Proven experience in administrative assistance or a related role.

Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations effectively.

Proficiency with technology and the ability to learn new software systems quickly.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Familiarity with housing programs or leasing processes is a plus.
