Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in San Jose, California. In this contract role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. This position requires strong attention to detail and expertise in handling financial transactions efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Process and review invoices for accuracy, proper coding, and compliance with company policies.

Manage account coding to ensure transactions are accurately recorded and categorized.

Oversee Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and ensure timely and secure processing.

Conduct check runs and verify payment details to maintain accuracy.

Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies in invoices or payment records.

Reconcile accounts payable transactions to ensure financial data integrity.

Maintain organized records of financial documents for audit and reporting purposes.

Assist in streamlining accounts payable processes to improve efficiency.

Monitor and address vendor inquiries related to payments and invoices.

Provide support during audits by preparing and reviewing accounts payable documentation. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

Proficiency in account coding and invoice processing.

Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment systems.

Familiarity with conducting check runs and managing payment workflows.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies.

Excellent organizational skills to manage financial records and documentation.

Proficiency in financial software and tools relevant to accounts payable operations.
