Quality is key as you spend your day gathering business requirements, designing solutions, and testing system changes and upgrades. This position will also monitor, analyze, and diagnose system issues, propose solutions, set priorities, and gain a deep understanding of user activities.
A strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to ensure smooth operations are critical to success in this position.

This position is eligible for hybrid telework. Effective June 1, employees living within 50 miles of the office will be required to work in the office at least 50% of the time each month. Employees may reside outside the state of Minnesota if they live in a state bordering Minnesota and are within 50 miles of the primary work location.
Existing employees who were approved to telework from a bordering state and more than 50 miles from their work location before June 1, 2025, may retain this arrangement unless they move farther away.
Minimum Qualifications
One (1) year* of professional experience as a business systems analyst that includes monitoring, analyzing and testing business systems.
OR
Three (3) years of experience providing technical assistance with business systems including researching and assisting with the resolution of complex system issues.
AND
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
*A Information Technology or related degree as determined by the agency may substitute for experience as follows: an Associate Degree may substitute for six (6) months of experience; Bachelor's Degree may substitute for one (1) year of experience; Master's Degree may substitute for eighteen (18) months of experience; or a PhD may substitute for twenty-four (24) months of experience.

Listening and communication skills necessary to work collaboratively with department and division employees at all levels
Ability to analyze and solve problems, evaluate alternatives, research, and recommend improvements
Ability to follow directions, be open to constructive suggestions, work well with co-workers and supervisors
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology or related field
Experience testing, writing scenarios, and executing test plans
Knowledge of state government and Revenue's policies, procedures, processes, laws and rules
Experience with working with or creating XML Schema requirements and test files
Experience writing and maintaining procedures
Experience leading or working on projects/teams
Physical Requirements
Requires occasional moving of articles such as boxes, accounting records, laptop computer, and portable printer.
