Summary:
The Entergy team is seeking an analyst who develops and maintains an understanding of customer experience, business processes, and provides analysis of data that is meaningful/actionable to leadership. This position will provide solutions and drive initiatives and project implementation engaging both Entergy business and Entergy IT stakeholders as well as IT support vendors. Works with senior analysts, data scientists, data engineers, and functional managers to define scope and objectives of a wide variety of projects. The role is highly visible and will work with multiple stakeholders. This role will interact periodically with senior leadership and provide tactical and strategic support on multiple levels.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Assigned larger portions of project work and provided with latitude to define scope and objectives of own analysis. May develop initial recommendations.
Provides leadership to junior analysts related to quality control and data consistency.
Reviews functions and structures of business area to avoid overlapping and duplication
Manages data documentation using a consistent methodology and nomenclature to ensure that analyses are preserved for future use.
Performs and leads quality control analysis to ensure accuracy and rationale.
Works within the scope and framework of larger projects defined by senior analysts or functional manager.
Facilitate sharing of technical business knowledge end to end.
Partner with data scientists, data engineers, and business leads to search out premier utility designs as we move toward future functionality for our customers
Prioritize new enhancement requests and identify necessary resources for development/delivery
Liaise between business, data science, data engineering, and vendor in support of project/enhancement delivery including requirements gathering/development, testing, and progress tracking
Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the position:
Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field required or equivalent work experience.
Desired: Master's Degree and/or project management certification.
Minimum experience required of the position
Analyst I: 0-2 years of professional experience
Analyst II: 2-4 years of professional experience
Analyst III: 4-6 years of professional experience
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position:
Analytical skill set with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Jira.
Prefer candidates with strong proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries, optimizing database performance, and analyzing large datasets.
