The National Aerospace Air Logistics Operational Care Manager oversees customer excellence by leading the Aerospace Operational Care team, ensuring high-quality service, and driving customer-centric operational execution. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with processes and regulations, optimizing efficiency, and fostering team development. As a subject matter expert, the manager aligns aerospace-specific requirements with operational activities and supports business development through solutions-driven strategies and stakeholder collaboration.
How you create impact
To provide leadership and direction to the aerospace operational care organization.
To ensure operational excellence through high-quality shipment/process management
To maximize profitability through cost optimization
To drive continuous improvement and solutions-oriented initiatives.
To collaborate with all partners/suppliers, gateway, warehouse, customs teams, the RCC, and external parties as needed
To optimize operations and all systems utilization, working closely with the Optimization team, to ensure the highest levels of productivity within the organization
To monitor operational performance and increase data and execution quality according to all KN requirements
To ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
To oversee customer onboarding and implementation of business requirements.
To maintain close cooperation with National and GS Management teams.
To provide training for staff on Aerospace & Defence Vertical specifics.
To resolve problems escalated by a team member or any other stakeholder, sustainability
To contribute as process owner to continuous improvements of processes and controls for lean and cost-efficient operation
To support Airfreight procurement and carrier/partner relationship management
To support the development of pricing strategies (liaise on pricing / RFQ preparation)
To closely cooperate with Customer Service and key account teams to gain specialized customer specific knowledge and to receive first-hand feedback about the OCC operational execution
To support Development and Customer Care teams to develop new / existing customers, and during account implementation
To increase ratio of spot quotes for AOG and Engines and control end-to-end shipment performance as part of an AOG, Engine or vertical Aerospace OCC
What we would like you to bring
5+ years of Air Logistics Experience
5+ years of Freight Forward Exeprience
High knowledge of freight forwarding operations and import-export regulations
Knowledge of KN products, services and processes
Good knowledge of market and carrier relationships
Ability to lead, develop and manage a team
The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership, a high degree of communication skills, commercial acumen, and must be performance driven.
They must have a demonstrable change management mindset, time management skills, and a willingness to improve are essential.
High level of attention to details, managerial skills in organizing, planning, assigning and controlling, as well as decision-making skills in critical to the role.
Flexibility and an ability to work under pressure are necessary.
