SFR Construction Generalist I

Job Purpose & Scope

Provides support for basic or low-complexity SFR construction loans and acts as a point of contact for the borrower or their staff.

Essential Job Functions

Supports the lending staff in the early stages of underwriting.

Assembles the proper information prior to the closing of single-family residential construction loans.

Reviews construction documentation for completeness and accuracy.

Develops a direct relationship with the borrower or their staff as a primary point of contact.

Orders and reviews third party inspections.

Processes approved funding draw requests.

Handles other construction monitoring related duties as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Basic knowledge of SFR construction documentation procedures and standards.

Ability to identify challenges and collaborate with senior staff on a corrective plan of action.

Ability to work under close ssupervision.

Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment in decision making.

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with stakeholders, lenders, credit officers, borrowers, and management at all levels of the organization.

Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly and effectively to requests.

Ability to maintain attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively and demonstrate flexibility in a continually changing environment with exacting deadlines.

Ability to demonstrate effective organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work extended hours as needed.

Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and strong Excel experience.

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, mathematics, statistics, or related field

1+ year Residential Construction Loan Monitoring or related experience
