An outstanding opportunity awaits two experienced Go-to-Market, P&C Product State Managers to lead and develop high-performing teams, nurture key client relationships, and achieve ambitious business goals within the following territories:

Job Profile Summary:**
Responsible for achieving Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance profit and growth targets in assigned state(s) representing the highest criticality (e.g., the highest Direct Written Premium, the largest member impact, the highest complexity) within a geographic region.
Develops and implements a strategic vision and tactical plan to expand USAA's market share and product line profitability within this state(s). Focuses on region or state-specific competitive and financial KPIs to anticipate and react to potential market trends.
Drives profitable product and member growth by optimizing the 5Ps (product, pricing, promotion, promise, and place) across multiple complex and high-value products. Ensures business plan expectations are achieved while upholding USAA's mission to protect those who serve and their families.
Directs state-level profit and loss (P&L) performance through the implementation of pricing and underwriting strategies. Collaborates with other business functions to ensure a seamless, world-class customer experience across all touchpoints.
What You Will Do:
Accountable for driving the strategy, P&L, and operational objectives for large-scale, complex, high-visibility states (e.g., $3.5B+ in annual direct-written premiums); lead strategic decisions across states under management.
Lead the analysis and evaluation of product performance metrics to identify market opportunities and drive product enhancements.
Direct pricing strategies and underwriting adjustments based on market analysis, member needs, and competitive dynamics, ensuring alignment with national guidelines while optimizing state-level P&L performance.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of business performance, market trends, and the competitive landscape, proactively identifying emerging risks and opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.
Thought partner to others within State Management to share best practices on how they can build similar knowledge and tools to manage their state(s).
Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to regional leaders, influencing adjustments to strategies across the 5Ps to drive improved improve performance at all levels.
Engage with Government & Industry Relations, Legal, and Compliance Advisors to manage relationships with local regulatory agencies and industry organizations.
Collaborate regularly with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders (e.g. Pricing, Underwriting, Claims, Legal, Military Affairs, Marketing) to align on financial results, develop integrated state strategies, champion key initiatives, and optimize resource allocation.
Accountable for the execution of comprehensive state-level plans encompassing product strategy, pricing, revenue targets, and market growth initiatives. .
Lead and facilitate regular business reviews, providing strategic insights and actionable recommendations to optimize state performance.
Communicate key insights to national product and product development teams to influence decision-making and drive strategic goals at the national level.
Leverage critical insights to execute state-specific pricing, underwriting adjustments, and Return-on-Capital (ROC) / factor deviationto optimize performance in line with national guidelines and state-level P&L goals.
Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Risk Management, Supply Chain, Statistics, or related discipline; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Minimum Experience:
10+ years of relevant property and casualty product management experience to include formulating product strategy to meet P&L objectives or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Risk Management, Supply Chain, Statistics, or related discipline with 8+ years of related experience.
4+ years of people leadership experience in building, managing, and/or developing high-performing teams.
Comprehensive knowledge of insurance products, features, and competitive market dynamics.
Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders without direct authority to achieve strategic objectives.
Expertise in regulatory engagement and compliance , including direct interaction with external agencies.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategies that balance industry dynamics, customer insights and commercial implications to drive business results.
Exceptional negotiation and relationship management skills, with a proven track record of building collaborative partnerships to achieve organizational goals.
Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $195,230 - $351,410

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.

Long Term Incentive Plan: Cash payment for Executive level roles only, representing a cash payment which is both time and performance based.
