An outstanding opportunity awaits three experienced Go-to-Market, P&C Product State Managers to lead and develop high-performing teams, cultivate key client relationships, and achieve ambitious business goals within the following territories:
Virginia, Washington DC, and Delaware
North Carolina and South Carolina
Florida
** Regional Executive Directors will follow a hybrid or a fully remote work schedule
Job Profile Summary:**
Executes on strategies to achieve property & casualty (P&C) insurance profit and growth targets in assigned state(s) that are high criticality (e.g., high DWP, large member impact, high complexity) within a geographic region.
Implements elements of the strategic vision and tactical plan that will profitably expand USAA product line market share within this state(s). Analyzes region or state-specific competitive and financial KPIs to anticipate and react to inform decision-making related to market trends.
Drives product and member growth by contributing to the optimization of the 5Ps (product, pricing, promotion, promise, and place) for multiple complex and high-value products within established guardrails, to ensure business plan expectations are achieved while providing steadfast protection for those who serve and their families.
Executes on state-level pricing and underwriting (UW) strategies to support state-level P&L performance; collaborates with other business functions to deliver a seamless end-to-end customer experience.
What You Will Do:
Drive strategy, P&L, and operational objectives of large-scale states (e.g., $2B-$3B in annual direct-written premiums), making strategic decisions across states under management.
Provide oversight of the analysis and evaluation of product performance metrics to make decisions regarding market opportunities and product enhancements.
Execute state-specific pricing and underwriting adjustments based on market analysis and national guidelines, ensuring achievement of P&L targets.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of business performance, trends, and results across assigned states.
Thought partner to others within State Management to share best practices on how they can build similar knowledge and tools to manage their state(s).
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to regional leaders on adjustments to state-level strategies across the 5Ps; provide insights to identify and share inputs on opportunities to improve region-level performance.
Partner with Government & Industry Relations, Attorney, and Compliance Advisor to maintain relationship with local regulatory agencies and industry organizations.
Collaborate with key stakeholders such as Pricing, Underwriting, Claims, P&C Counsel, Military Affairs, Affinity, Experience and Marketing to formulate state(s) strategy.
Responsible for the state level plan, including products, rates, and revenue.
Lead regular business reviews to align knowledge of state performance.
Communicate key insights to national product and product development teams to inform decision-making at the national level.
Leverage data insights to optimize state-specific pricing, underwriting, and factor deviations within national guidelines..
Keep abreast with industry standards and benchmark data; serves as the expert with respect to the competitive landscape.
Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Risk Management, Supply Chain, Statistics, or related discipline; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Minimum Experience:
10+ years of relevant property and casualty product management experience to include formulating product strategy to meet P&L objectives or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Risk Management, Supply Chain, Statistics, or related discipline with 8+ years of related experience.
4+ years of people leadership experience in building, managing, and/or developing high-performing teams.
Comprehensive knowledge of insurance products and features, competition, and competitive market conditions.
Executive-level negotiation and influence skills to resolve complex issues and driving alignment across diverse stakeholder groups while fostering strong, collaborative relationships..
Demonstrated interpersonal and stakeholder management capabilities with an emphasis on customer focus, collaboration and partnering to obtain results.
Proven experience engaging with external regulators in complex environments.
Deep expertise in product-related regulations, risk management, and compliance frameworks .
Strong strategic thinker with track record of developing and implementing strategies that thoughtfully consider and balance industry and competitive dynamics, customer insights and commercial implications.
Excellent written and verbal communications, including experience presenting complex information to executive leadership and external stakeholders; proven ability to influence without direct authority across technical and cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives.
Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $169,880 - $305,780

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.

Long Term Incentive Plan: Cash payment for Executive level roles only, representing a cash payment which is both time and performance based.
