Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in San Diego, California. In this position, you will play a crucial role in managing day-to-day accounts payable operations while contributing to monthly financial close processes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to bring organization and efficiency to financial workflows.

Responsibilities:

Verify invoices against purchase orders and ensure proper approval processes are followed.

Accurately code and record payables to the appropriate company and general ledger accounts.

Review and process employee expense reports while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Audit corporate card transactions, reconcile charges, and match them to monthly statements.

Assist with month-end close activities, including handling prepaid expenses and fixed assets.

Process vendor payments and employee reimbursements, including check runs.

Collaborate with employees across the organization to ensure understanding of accounts payable protocols.

Research and resolve accounts payable issues related to vendors and employees.

Contribute to efficiency and scalability by participating in project-based initiatives.

Maintain organized documentation and ensure compliance with financial standards. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent work experience of at least 5 years.

Familiarity with accounts payable practices in both automated and manual environments.

Proficiency in accounts payable systems such as NetSuite or Tipalti is strongly preferred.

Experience with expense reporting tools like Expensify is a plus.

Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.

Strong analytical abilities to interpret and resolve complex financial issues.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across all organizational levels.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
