Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)

Location: Heritage Specialty Care

Schedule: Full Time and Part Time

Hours: 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm, or 6am to 6pm

Care Initiatives is seeking Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) to join our compassionate care team across more than 40 skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa. We are currently hiring CNAs to support our CCDI (Chronic Confusion or Dementing Illness) / Memory Care unit, providing specialized care to residents living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. Candidates with dementia care training or experience in memory support units are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and meals.

Observe and report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition.

Foster a clean, safe, and supportive environment.

Provide compassionate, respectful care, especially to those with memory-related conditions.

Support residents and families through the challenges of cognitive decline with patience and understanding.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in the state of Iowa, or eligibility to transfer certification within 60 days of establishing residency.

Previous experience in dementia care or CCDI/memory care units preferred.

Demonstrated understanding of the needs of residents with Alzheimer's or other dementias.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented.
