Assembly Specialist | Glen Arm, MD | $25-30/hr.

Monday-Friday day shift schedule, flexible to shift start time between 6am-8am (8hr shifts), once trained may move to M-Th or T-F 4 day 10-hour shift schedule, voluntary OT available

This is a direct hire Assembly Specialist position, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their competitive benefit and vacation package upon hire.

Position Information:

Interpret blueprints and assembly specifications to plan machine building operations.

Inspect parts for quality and accuracy using calipers, gauges, and micrometers.

Prepare and modify components by drilling, tapping, and laying out holes as required.

Assemble and align metal parts using hand and power tools, securing them with bolts, screws, welds, or rivets.

Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot, repair, clean, and lubricate assembled units before shipment.

Ensure all assembled components meet internal quality and safety standards, repairing or replacing damaged items as needed.

Required Experience:

Accurately assemble machinery and sub-assemblies by reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and written instructions.

Proven experience operating and maintaining a variety of hand, power, and pneumatic tools

2+ years of mechanical assembly required, strong mechanical aptitude

Apply basic math skills and production process knowledge to ensure precise construction and handling of different metal @types.

Employees are required to provide their own hand and basic power tools for the position
