Job Summary and Qualifications
The role of the Administrative Resident in the Executive Residency Program incorporates hospital operations and service lines to facilitate a holistic and broad view across the enterprise through job rotation, didactic, and experimental learnings. Over the course of the Executive Residency Program the Administrative Resident will become knowledgeable regarding the internal and external forces that shapes hospitals future, internal operations, and its relationship with key stakeholders: patients, providers, payers and the community.
What you will do in this role:
You will assist with assigned departments in establishing measures of performance, increased productivity, quality improvement, cost controls, and maximum utilization of facilities
You will observe and evaluate operations in determined areas, propose long-term initiatives, projects, or suggestions for process improvements
You will consults with the Senior Administrative Team to identify areas for studying
You will attend and participate in departmental, administrative, and executive level meetings as invited by appropriate staff to gain a comprehensive understanding of organizational structure, operations, and objectives
You will provide leadership to assigned areas to ensure accountability for maintaining and monitoring utilization of resources, physical space, equipment, department protocols, standards, policies, and practices
You will actively support the facility through participation in community organizations, agencies, speaker bureaus, etc.
You will perform other duties as assigned
What qualifications you will need:
Completion of the first year or graduated from an accredited Master's Program in business or a health related field required
2+ years of experience in a hospital leadership role preferred
