The Private Bank Sales Associate serves as the point of contact for our high-net-worth clients, maintaining those relationships by servicing their needs so that the Private Banker can focus on business development.
The Private Banking Sales Support Associate is the face of UMB Private Bank and their primary goal is to strengthen and retain high net worth client relationships that are sourced by the Private Banking sales teams.
This role provides sales support in a variety of ways and provides administrative functions, customer service, sales support and compliance oversight.
How you will spend your time:
You will serve as the main point of contact for clients
You will be responsible for managing day to day client transactions, such as money movements, problem solving for complex client escalations, account maintenance, wire transfers
You will assist Private Bankers with administration tasks such as expense reports, calendar management, maintain reports/tracking, assist with managing books of business, and organizing client events.
You will input data and collect documentation for loans at the direction of the Private Banker
You will work collaboratively with Senior Associates on team to resolve complex client related issues and escalations
You manage new client onboarding process including all activities associate with account opening such as debit card, credit card, and online banking enrollment
You will maintain and update Salesforce for client activities
You will maintain client paperwork and electronic data files for all client relationships
You will understand the client's overall business needs and help identify value-added services that Private Bank can provide
You will review activities within the job scope for sufficient controls to prevent errors, fraud, and misstatements of financial results
You will comply with all bank policy and procedure Perform account audits monthly Maintain high level of confidentiality with client information
You will be able to accurately transact in UMB Systems to maintain the exclusive delivery model in Private Banking
You will conduct other duties as assigned

You have a high school diploma or equivalent
You have 2+ years of applicable retail experience with opening deposit and loan account OR a combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background
You are able to work M-F 8:30am- 5:30pm CT
You have the ability to work in the office up to 3 days a week
You are a great communicator with strong interpersonal skills
You have systems thinking and complex problem solving
You have attention to detail, yet ability to grasp big picture
You are highly organized and can effectively multi-task
You have an understanding of financial services client service best practices and a knack for generating "wow" moments for clients
You are able to balance a client experience mindset when managing and controlling business risks
You have the ability to work independently, collaborating with others to accomplish client objectives
You are an analytical problem solver with the ability to think creatively
You have general knowledge of new account opening, client onboarding requirements and cash management
You are able to organize and prioritize activities to ensure completion within established deadlines
You have exceptional written communication
You have a strong proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
You have a strong proficiency in Salesforce CRM software
Bonus points if:
You have demonstrated client service experience within a Private Bank or Wealth Management institution
You have knowledge of Deposit and Loan service offerings and account @types
You have a working knowledge of deposit and loan account @types for Private Bank
You have demonstrated experience with a wide range of client situations and inquiries
You have experience in supporting financial data collection, entry, and process
You have a general knowledge of compliance rules and regulations within retail banking
You have a proficiency in UMB's Hogan System, Decision Pro, TSYS
You have a proficiency with Q2 online banking platform
You have a proficiency in Workday, Oracle, ServiceNow
Compensation Range:
$44,790.00 - $86,510.00
