Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Monessen, Pennsylvania on a contract to hire basis. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial transactions, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

Verify invoice pricing against quotations and ensure all items have been received accurately.

Reconcile invoices based on time and material against corresponding work orders.

Enter accounts payable invoices and credits into QuickBooks, applying the correct general ledger codes.

Perform administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, mailing, ordering supplies, and running small errands.

Match vendor invoices with issued checks and ensure proper documentation.

Maintain and update tracking information on spreadsheets.

Complete credit applications and tax exemption forms as required.

Generate and review weekly accounts payable aging reports to confirm accuracy.

Resolve discrepancies in vendor statements and invoices through direct communication.

Handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality and professionalism.

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related role is preferred.

Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is highly advantageous.

Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.

Experience using Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Google Docs is a plus.

Exceptional attention to detail and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Knowledge of invoice processing, coding invoices, and check runs.

Strong organizational skills to ensure timely and accurate financial operations.
