This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. Location: Position may be filled at Akron, OH; Greensburg, PA; Reading, PA; or Fairmont, WV locations. Position is currently remote but may work at or visit a facility based on business need. As an Application Configuration Analyst in the Transmission and Distribution Products group you will be part of a highly motivated team focused on the Construction & Design product. The position will consist of being part of a broader product team focused on enhancing software and technology surrounding unified cost, schedule, portfolio, and equipment & materials management capabilities. In this position you will partner with users across the company to provide high value product increments to the Construction & Design product. Responsibilities:

Documenting processes/procedures and specifications for supported applications.

Working independently or with business analysts to support requirements gathering and test scenario identification.

Collaborate with software vendors on issue identification & resolution, installation of software, and routine software patching.

Developing application interfaces, maintaining reports, and vendor package applications.

Unit, integration, performance and stress testing support for application enhancements, upgrades, and patches.

Learning and understanding the business processes associated with supported applications.

Developing technical designs that meet business needs and support the company's strategic direction.

Properly leveraging the correct technology for the defined requirements.

Developing clear documentation for completed products.

Investigating and resolving problems with supported applications in a production support environment.

Understand system interface design & data flows to support complex inbound and outbound interfaces.

Follow IT Change Management and Incident ticket processes.

Solving complex problems and troubleshooting functionality for issue identification.

Consistently delivering high quality results.

Qualifications: Required:

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related technical degree. In lieu of degree, equivalent in hands-on experience will also be considered.

Experience with Oracle databases with proven ability to develop SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, Packages, and Views.

Analytical skills to resolve problems and think creatively.

Ability to learn new concepts in information technology, learn the characteristics of new systems and update skills to adapt to changing technology.

Integration experience utilizing APIs, REST web services, and other integration methods.

Experience working on Windows Servers, Linux, and/or UNIX.

Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Highly motivated to work independently and productively but also able to work in a virtual environment (working with remote co-workers using virtual technologies).
