The Cloud Product Infrastructure Margin team is an exciting and fast-evolving finance team at the forefront of Microsoft's Cloud-first strategy.
The FP&A Lead within the Cloud Infrastructure and Supply Execution team will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of capital expenditure (Capex) planning. This includes long-range planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities. The role also supports the integration of data center and server analytics to inform capital approval processes.
This role is pivotal in shaping long-term capital strategy, influencing cross-functional decision-making, and enabling scalable infrastructure growth aligned with Microsoft Cloud's ambitions. This role will lead financial planning rhythm, including monthly and quarterly reviews of Capex spend, contribute to cost insights, and support deliverables for executive-level financial reporting.

Responsibilities
Own end to end view of Capital expenditures including planning, quarterly reporting of actuals and variance analysis. Monitor trends and proactively identify risks and opportunities to ensure financial targets are met.
Deliver driver-based analytics and frame on composition of capital spend and work with various team to automate reporting and planning modules
Partner with Finance teams supporting CO+I and AHSI team to understand capital funding asks and manage ROB around Monthly Capital Council process
Lead Compete analytics in Datacenter and Hardware space, including recent earnings announcements
Act as central point of contact for Consolidation of Capex and COGS LRP, including out year view of margin impact from capital spend
Support various ad hoc analytical and reporting asks to support teams' mission of delivering right capacity, at right time and with lowest total cost of ownership
Mentor finance team members and foster a culture of analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and business partnership.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 10+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
1+ year(s) experience managing direct reports.
Additional or preferred qualifications:
5+ years work experience in the technology or software industry.
5+ years work experience in matrix-based organization.
5+ years experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
3+ years experience managing direct reports.
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 12+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 15+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.
Financial Analysis M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
