The Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Operating Unit (OU) is a newly formed team with a bold mission: to consolidate, simplify, and accelerate Microsoft's presence across the DIB landscape. The DIB OU will directly manage and accelerate strategic and major DIB accounts within MCAPS Americas. We're building new relationships, transforming legacy operations, and helping our customers modernize with confidence.

The Copilot Solution Engineer (SE) is a technical pre-sales role focused on driving AI transformation through Microsoft Copilot technologies. As Copilot SE, you will play a pivotal role in helping educate your customers at a technical level, demonstrate, and prove the value of M365 Copilot in conjunction with other Microsoft 365 productivity software suites. You'll collaborate closely with engineering leaders and platform teams to accelerate adoption through hands-on engagements like Proof of Concepts, hackathons, and architecture workshops.

Responsibilities
This is a technical pre-sales role with the following responsibilities:
Generate new pipeline and competitive wins for M365 Copilot, Copilot Chat, Copilot Studio & Agents, and Microsoft 365 Enterprise suite for worker productivity, by delivering impactful AI-powered demos/Art-of-Possible sessions, removing technical blockers, and highlighting Microsoft's differentiation to secure deals
Lead AI transformation engagements (e.g. demos, pilots) to win technical decisions and drive customer commitment to Copilot/Agents, including documented adoption plans and a smooth hand-off to Customer Success/partners for usage onboarding.
Craft scalable, secure, and modular architectures that align to customer's enterprise strategy and technical roadmap while embedding security at every level.
Continuously upskill to meet role expectations (achieve L200 consultative and L400 technical depth certifications)
Coordinate weekly with account executives, specialist sellers, customer success teams, and manager to understand opportunities and engagements to focus on, engaging and driving to own and win the technical decisions.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 1+ year(s) technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 2+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR 3+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience.
L200 consultative and L400 technical certifications (or equivalent experience).
Experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, or consulting roles.
Experience with delivering demos, pilots, and technical presentations for Microsoft 365 Copilot and related AI solutions.
Other Requirements:
Cloud Screening: Candidates must be able to successfully complete and pass a Microsoft Cloud background screening. Required Cloud Screenings will be administered on a recurring bi-annual basis.
Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government clearance.

Solution Engineer IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.
