Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Key Management Operations Resource to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of a robust key management infrastructure. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and security teams to design, implement, and maintain highly available and performant KMS solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Deploy and maintain key management infrastructure to meet security and compliance requirements.

Monitor and optimize performance and scalability of KMS infrastructure.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to encryption, decryption, and key rotation.

Implement and enforce security best practices to protect sensitive data and cryptographic keys.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate workflows for key lifecycle management.

Conduct post-incident reviews and implement preventive measures.

Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in key management and cryptographic standards.

Utilize incident and problem management systems (e.g., Remedy, ServiceNow).

Work hands-on with Linux/Unix and/or Windows server platforms.

Can pay $84/hr to $89.74 - Approved locations: Charlotte, NC and Plano Texas

Skills and Requirements

Strong understanding of cryptographic principles and key management best practices.

Experience with Thales HSM or CipherTrust Manager.

Familiarity with cloud-based key management systems (e.g., AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault, Google Cloud KMS).

Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go).

Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to collaborate across functional areas and navigate operational challenges.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.
