We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Branch/Retail Banking Clerk to join our team in Edgewood, Maryland. In this role, you will play a crucial part in creating an exceptional banking experience for our members by delivering outstanding service, building strong relationships, and promoting financial wellbeing. Key Responsibilities:

Provide Exceptional Service: Greet members warmly, actively listen to their needs, and deliver personalized service to ensure every member has a positive and memorable banking experience.

Promote Digital Tools: Assist members with Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) and digital banking platforms, offering demonstrations and guidance to encourage adoption and enhance their digital banking experience.

Transaction Processing: Accurately process a variety of member transactions while resolving any issues to ensure seamless and efficient service.

Account Management: Open and manage new consumer and business accounts, perform routine maintenance on deposit and loan accounts, and handle certificates of deposit (CDs) and individual retirement accounts (IRAs).

Financial Solutions: Proactively identify member needs through conversations and recommend tailored financial products and services that support their financial goals and wellbeing.

Member Engagement: Conduct outbound calls, schedule appointments, and engage with members in the lobby to foster loyalty and satisfaction.

Risk Management: Adhere to established risk management policies and procedures to maintain compliance and mitigate potential losses.

Relationship Building: Develop lasting member relationships through follow-ups, celebrating milestones, and providing ongoing financial support and guidance.

Business Development Support: Partner with branch management to participate in community outreach initiatives, events, and other business development efforts to grow the branch's presence.

Loan Support: Review loan applications, compile necessary documentation, and communicate denials in a professional and courteous manner while offering alternative solutions to meet members' needs.

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail banking or a related field.

Proficiency in cash handling and bank operations.

Strong knowledge of retail banking processes, including transactions and deposits.

Ability to navigate and educate members on banking technology tools.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and foster member relationships.

Critical thinking skills to identify member needs and recommend appropriate financial solutions.

Familiarity with risk management practices and adherence to regulatory policies.

Enthusiasm for community engagement and business development efforts.
