The Bar Harbor Inn and Spa is seeking a motivated and experienced Spa Manager to oversee the daily operations of our luxury spa. This full-time, year-round leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to guide a talented team and deliver an exceptional guest experience in a serene and elegant setting.

We're looking for a leader who thrives on collaboration, organization, and team development. While a background in spa services is important, this position is focused on management-not providing treatments. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for hospitality, the ability to inspire and lead a team, and strong business and organizational skills to ensure the spa runs smoothly and successfully.

Position Details:

Schedule: Full-time, year-round

Salary: $70,000-$75,000 annually, plus commission opportunities

Housing: May be available for the right candidate

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and inspire the spa team to deliver exceptional service and guest experiences

Oversee day-to-day spa operations, including scheduling, staff management, and inventory control

Recruit, train, and coach team members to achieve excellence and uphold company standards

Manage budgets, financial reports, and sales goals while identifying opportunities for growth

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations

Collaborate with hotel management to design promotions, packages, and guest experiences that enhance revenue and brand reputation

Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive workplace culture

Skills & Requirements:

Previous leadership or management experience required, preferably in a spa, wellness, or hospitality environment

Strong organizational, financial, and communication skills

Knowledge of spa operations and services

Ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team

Business-minded with a focus on guest satisfaction and revenue growth

Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays as needed

Experience / Education:

Two years of previous spa management or equivalent experience required.

Additional requirements:

This position may require flexible working hours including evenings and weekends. During the high season, extended workdays may be necessary to meet peak spa demand.
