TAK Broadband is a leading end-to-end U.S. fiber broadband network construction contractor operating in 42 states. This includes engineering teams, distributors, and more than 100 qualified construction crews with extensive experience across all ISP @types and markets; over 300 experienced bury drop crews; and more than 700 professional technicians.

We are seeking a Part-Time IT Help Desk Admin to join our corporate office in Sioux Falls, SD. This is an on site entry-level role designed to introduce you to help desk operations and provide hands-on experience in IT support. In this position, you will assist the IT team with maintaining and updating asset inventory, as well as performing basic maintenance on company laptops and desktop PCs.

The Role

Maintain and update IT asset inventory (laptops, desktops, and related equipment)

Assist with routine checks and basic upkeep of company laptops and desktop PCs

Help set up new computers and equipment under the guidance of IT staff

Support the IT team with installing simple updates and ensuring devices are up to date

Provide basic first-level assistance to employees (password resets, login help, general questions)

Document completed tasks and escalate issues to senior IT staff when needed

Learn and follow IT processes, policies, and security practices

Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Strong interest in technology and eagerness to learn new skills

Basic familiarity with using computers, email, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Good verbal and written communication skills

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately

Dependable, punctual, and able to work part-time hours in the office

Positive attitude and willingness to support the IT team with various tasks

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Knowledge of common IT hardware, software, and network systems and protocols a plus

Ability to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision

Ability to adapt to changing IT needs and demands

Ability to work a flexible schedule with varied hours; some evenings and weekends as needed

Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver's license is required if the role involves driving
