Medical Receptionist

Community Care Women's Health and Gynecology, a new gynecology practice opening in Cambridge, Ohio, is seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to join our team. The Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience while supporting the daily operations of the office.

Key Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion.

Answer incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the provider's calendar.

Verify insurance information, collect copayments, and process patient registration.

Maintain and update patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

Assist with billing inquiries and communicate effectively with patients regarding office policies and procedures.

Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, faxes, and mail.

Ensure the front desk and waiting area remain clean, organized, and welcoming.

Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely service.

Protect patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in medical office administration preferred.

Previous experience as a medical office receptionist or in a healthcare setting strongly preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and friendly demeanor.

Proficiency with computers, scheduling systems, and electronic health records (EHR) preferred.

Medical terminology knowledge needed

Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient-centered service.

Work is performed in an office environment.

Work may be stressful at times due to a busy office.

Interaction with others is constant and interruptive.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands and arms.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Schedule & Benefits

Full-time position, 40 hours per week.

Monday through Friday, no evenings or weekends.

Paid holidays and vacation.
