Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a Contract-to-Permanent basis in Castle Rock, Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing accounts receivable processes, including collections, credit evaluations, and bookkeeping activities. Your expertise will support our financial operations and contribute to maintaining strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate customer credit applications, determine credit terms, and establish appropriate credit limits.

Monitor open customer accounts to track payment history and ensure timely collections.

Prepare and send collection letters to customers, and coordinate with external collection agencies when necessary.

Record customer deposits, transactions, and wire transfers into the Odoo system.

Apply credit and debit memos accurately to customer accounts.

Respond to incoming calls and correspondence related to accounts receivable inquiries.

Generate and provide detailed reports on accounts receivable activities to internal stakeholders.

Maintain accurate sales tax records and assist in compliance-related tasks.

Support additional accounting projects as required to enhance overall financial operations. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts receivable, including collections and cash applications.

Familiarity with commercial billing functions and cash activity processes.

Proficiency in handling customer deposits and reconciling accounts.

Strong analytical skills for evaluating credit applications and setting terms.

Excellent communication skills for managing customer interactions and resolving inquiries.

Ability to work with accounting software, particularly Odoo, or similar platforms.

Knowledge of sales tax regulations and reporting requirements.

Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
