Join the LDEQ Team as an Administrative Assistant!
Join the Air Planning and Assessment Division, where employees play a key role in protecting and maintaining the air quality of the state. In this position, you will work with a team of Environmental Scientists and Engineers whose function is to monitor and ensure air quality planning is consistent with federal regulations.
An ideal candidate should possess the following competencies:

Demonstrating Initiative: The ability to assess information and take action independently to help the organization achieve its goals.
Thinking Critically: The ability to objectively question, analyze, interpret, and evaluate information to form a conclusion.
Minimum Qualifications
Four years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Serve as timekeeper for the division. Ensure employees properly submit timekeeping data and also verify data is entered correctly.
Sorts, opens, and distributes incoming mail to staff; associates incoming correspondence with files or related materials needed for meetings, correspondence, and reports. Responds to requests for information.
Prepares documents for routing and materials for submittal to the Electronic Data Management System (EDMS).
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: probational appointment, job appointment (a temporary appointment not to exceed four years), or promotion of a permanent classified employee. If the position is filled as a job appointment, it could be converted to a probationary appointment should funding become available.
