Description

We are looking for a skilled Grant Accountant to join our clients team in Hillsboro, Oregon, on a long-term contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong background in grant management and accounting practices, particularly in federal and government grants. The position involves working collaboratively across departments to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit detailed reports for federal and government grants, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Collaborate with various departments to provide guidance on grant requirements and ensure proper supporting documentation is maintained.

Review and process journal entries to ensure accurate tracking and application of grant-related transactions.

Develop and apply complex Excel formulas to streamline grant reporting and analysis.

Ensure compliance with all federal and government grant regulations, providing expertise in grant accounting practices.

Support audits and reviews by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries related to grants.

Requirements

Proven experience in grant management and accounting, particularly with federal and government grants.

Proficiency in utilizing Excel formulas for financial reporting and analysis.

Familiarity with accounting software and systems

Ability to collaborate effectively across departments to ensure compliance and accuracy in documentation.

Solid understanding of journal entries and general ledger processes.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Knowledge of grant regulations and reporting standards.
