Basic Job Functions:

This position will be responsible for general security at our plant to include functions shown below with the expectation that all necessary shifts, including holidays and weekendsmay be worked.

Control all visitor and contractor traffic entrance and exit the plant.

Train and communicate safety programs and procedures to visitors, vendors, contractors.

Manage all in-coming & out-going loads & traffic

Use and maintenance of gate passes.

Issue & log shipping documentation in system

Issue PPE and visitor passes and ensure return of same upon departure.

Communicate emergency procedures in case of fire, spill, accidents, and weather.

Stock and clean guard shack.

Manage UPS/FedEx shipments & deliver mail to office daily.

Environmental awareness of plant, property and traffic. Notify Safety Coord and Hazmat.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices,procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
