Job Summary
??The Assistant Registrar participates as a member of the Office of the Registrar team, engaging with virtually all the office's processes in support of the office's mission to create, maintain, and protect the academic records of current and former students. This role's primary responsibilities are supporting student degree progress and curricular processes, creating and maintaining forms, reports, and documentation for the Registrar's office and inputting, and maintaining the integrity of, course and student data. ?
Essential Functions:
Input, process, and verify data associated with Bowdoin College students and courses. This includes taking primary responsibility for processing transfer credit as well as creating, supporting, and troubleshooting reporting, the configuration of academic requirements, the degree certification process, and curricular maintenance.
Leading and organizing system documentation primarily for internal end-user support, and supporting the Associate Registrar in maintaining and developing external end-user support documentation. Work with others to provide training support for systems to the larger community.
The hiring range for this position is expected to be: $66,500 - $70,500.

Education/Skills Requirements
Associate's or vocational/technical degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with alumni, donors, staff, and other stakeholders.
Detail-oriented: High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy of records, correspondence, and other documents.
Adaptability: Ability to work in a dynamic environment, adapting to changes and managing multiple priorities.
?Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute positively to the team's operations and working environment.
?Discretion: Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality
Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents
1-3 years of related experience required; 4-7 years preferred.
Demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn and quickly adapt to new technologies, business processes, and procedures; the willingness to contribute to any office process during periods of peak demand. Areas of experience include: tracking degree progress, reporting systems, systems associated with student and academic data; Banner Student, Canvas, Courseleaf, Qualtrics, SQL and/or PL/ SQL , Workday.
Advanced Excel and Word skills, as well as experience with Office 365 are necessary.

Standard Work Days and Hours
This is an exempt, full-time position working 40 hours/52 weeks, (1.00 FTE ) with occasional evening or weekends as required.
Standard administrative hours are 8:30am - 5:00pm.
