CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Asset Manager within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities.
The Asset Manager oversees an organization's hardware and software assets, managing their full lifecycle from procurement to disposal. Key duties include tracking inventory, ensuring software license compliance, optimizing asset use to reduce costs, coordinating with vendors, and managing the process for acquiring, deploying, maintaining, and retiring assets.

This position is located in USA VA Arlington, however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Asset Lifecycle Management: Overseeing IT assets from initial acquisition, through deployment, maintenance, and finally to their secure disposal or retirement.
Inventory Management: Maintaining a comprehensive and accurate record of all hardware and software assets, including their specifications, location, and status.
Software License Compliance: Ensuring the organization adheres to software licensing agreements and industry standards, minimizing legal and financial risks.
Procurement & Vendor Management: Collaborating with various departments and IT vendors to purchase the right hardware, software, and services, often negotiating the best deals.
Cost Optimization: Identifying opportunities to reduce IT spending through asset standardization, optimizing usage, and managing the asset lifecycle effectively.
Risk Mitigation: Assessing and minimizing risks associated with IT assets, including cybersecurity risks, software vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps.
Strategy & Policy Development: Designing, developing, and implementing policies and strategies for effective IT asset management across the organization.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining detailed records and generating reports on asset data to support strategic decision-making and demonstrate value.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Journeyman:
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 2 to 5 years of experience
Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired
Strong understanding of IT systems, hardware, and software.
Excellent management, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in IT asset management software and tools.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with various departments and vendors.
Experience in asset management, including asset tracking, procurement, and lifecycle management.
Junior
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 0 to 2 years of experience
Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired
Strong understanding of IT systems, hardware, and software.
Excellent management, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in IT asset management software and tools.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with various departments and vendors.
Experience in asset management, including asset tracking, procurement, and lifecycle management.
Senior
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 5 to 8 years of experience
Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired
Strong understanding of IT systems, hardware, and software.
Excellent management, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in IT asset management software and tools.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with various departments and vendors.
Experience in asset management, including asset tracking, procurement, and lifecycle management.
SME:
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience
Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired
Strong understanding of IT systems, hardware, and software.
Excellent management, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in IT asset management software and tools.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with various departments and vendors.
Experience in asset management, including asset tracking, procurement, and lifecycle management.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,000.00 - $150000.00.
