Ryder is immediately hiring permanent a full-time Warehouse Maintenance Technician I to eto support our facility in Edison, New Jersey.

Manufacturing and Construction positions pay weekly

Hourly Pay $20.00 per hour

Products being handled: Retail itemsEquipment used for position: Electric Pallet, Reach, Cherry Picker

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PALLET REPAIR OPERATORS

Will use a pneumatic nail gun, powered saw, and other powered/hand tools to repair or assemble pallets

You will be placing pallets on repair table, removing defective boards, replacing with new boards and securing boards into place.

Work requires operator to stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours) and lifting up to 75 pounds throughout entire shift

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 an hour. Employees may also be eligible for Shift Premium.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Strong background in maintenance repair and preventative maintenance programs

Good organizational, communication, and planning skills

Basic computer and parts inventory system skills

Aptitude to investigate and problem-solve various mechanical issues

Responsibilities

Complete all routine lubrications, repairs and trouble shooting tasks of mechanical warehouse equipment

Assist and monitor all work being performed by outside contractors

Maintain inventory controls for cost effective operations

Schedule and complete preventative maintenance procedures

Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, city, state and federal guidelines

Monitor and maintain grounds and building systems

Depending on location, employee may be required to operate equipment and may be required to be equipment certified

Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined
