What You'll Do
Job Summary: Generally responsible for performing construction coordination for small to moderate construction assignments. This work will be performed under general supervision.
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
A leader in safety on assigned projects including setting safety and environmental performance expectations of contractors and holding them accountable through standard daily walkthroughs.
In cooperation with the site Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) organization, accountable for securing safe work permits for contractors, ensuring all applicable daily permits are in place before the start of work, and monitoring compliance with required permits throughout the day.
Maintains an active presence in the field during construction activity and site turnarounds
Promotes a strong culture of safety by partnering with the site EHS team to monitor, audit, and coach field contractors on safe work best practices.
Monitors construction productivity and schedule performance of their assigned projects while providing feedback on risks identified to the site Construction Manager
Able to communicate construction status effectively with site Project Managers and Project Stakeholders
Ability to communicate daily construction updates to the Projects Scheduler so a schedule of values can be maintained for their assigned projects
Able to manage and prioritize the works of multiple field contractors simultaneously to ensure project deliverables are met Other activities may be required depending on project change in scope which occurs during this contract duration.

Ideal Background
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field from an accredited university is preferred.
Licensing: No licensing is required for this position.
Experience: This position requires a minimum 5 years of relevant industrial construction coordination and administration experience.

Ability to perform work outdoors in hot or cold climates.
Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment such as a fire-retardant jumpsuit, safety glasses, ear plugs and hard hat.
