Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Austin, Texas. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to contribute to critical accounting functions while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will excel in handling intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and oversee intercompany transactions and ensure accurate documentation.

Conduct detailed account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to maintain financial accuracy.

Manage month-end close processes, including accruals and adjusting journal entries.

Maintain prepaids and other general ledger accounts in compliance with accounting standards.

Review and post adjusting journal entries to ensure proper financial reporting.

Utilize Excel and accounting systems like Sage Intacct to streamline accounting workflows.

Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) regulations in all accounting procedures.

Support financial audits by providing accurate and timely accounting records.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment during financial reporting cycles. Requirements - Proven experience in month-end close procedures and general ledger management.

Strong knowledge of journal entries, including adjusting entries and accrual accounting.

Proficiency in account and bank reconciliations.

Familiarity with managing prepaids and accruals in a detail-oriented environment.

Expertise in SOX compliance and regulatory standards.

Advanced skills in Excel and experience with accounting software like Sage Intacct.

Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
