Job Title: Drafting Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Engineering Services Supervisor to lead a team of drafters and technicians supporting product design and manufacturing. This role combines hands-on coordination and team leadership, ensuring the accuracy and timely delivery of technical drawings and documents while fostering the growth and success of team members.

Responsibilities

Supervise a team responsible for creating drawings and supporting testing and builds.

Ensure all technical documents meet standards and deadlines.

Coordinate technician work, including building proto@types and running tests.

Collaborate with engineers to translate ideas into clear technical outputs.

Establish and maintain drafting and documentation standards.

Manage team priorities and workloads.

Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills.

Track and improve team performance.

Essential Skills

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, drafting, or a related field (preferred).

5+ years of experience in drafting, design support, or technical services.

2+ years of experience leading a team.

Proficiency in CAD software and drafting standards.

Familiarity with shop floor and testing environments.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

A passion for aviation.

Experience in aerospace, mechanical engineering, or related fields.

Project management and document control expertise.

Leadership and team management capabilities.

Work Environment

The role is performed on-site, encompassing multiple buildings, including a shop and office setting. Employees will have their own office space. The work environment includes participation in airshows and access to shared airplanes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
