UW Medical Center-Northwest Plant Engineering has an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Painter.

WORK SCHEDULE

100% FTE

Monday - Friday

Day Shift; 7:00am - 3:30pm

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

Plant Engineering provides engineering, repair & maintenance services to the main hospital buildings, garage, and grounds. Areas of responsibility include building shell & structures, HVAC, utility, and other critical environment of care support systems.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBLIITIES

Proactively assesses painting needs throughout facility and submits work requests when painting needs to be performed

Instructs and manages all painters contracted to complete specific projects

Assists management with annual budget by estimating painting portion expenses

Installs and maintains wall guards, kick plates, tack boards and bumper rails

Install and repairs wallpaper and vinyl wall covering; removes stains from ceilings; repairs drywall

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 5 years experience at the journeyman level, in all aspects of painting, wood finishing and drywall required

Completion of recognized journeyman apprenticeship/training program or equivalent experience required

High School graduation, diploma, GED or equivalent

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

$35.13 hourly
