FTE: 0.500000 Standard Hours: 20.00 Shift: Shift 2 Shift Details: A week= Tuesday: 3-9, Saturday: 8:30-5pm, Sunday: 8:30-5pm; B week= Monday: 3-9, Wednesday: 3-9pm, Friday: 3-9pm Job Summary: The Access Services Representative responds to incoming calls from both internal and external callers which may include, but are not limited to, patients, visitors, hospital staff, clinic staff, and physicians. Patient calls to the After Hours Answering Service are documented using an encounter in EPIC, the electronic medical record. After-hours answering service for Home Care Medical and Horizon Home Care & Hospice patient calls are completed using the SPOK directory. Assistance is also provided to other work groups as needed. Assists in orienting and training new and existing employees. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience is required. Previous telecommunications and hospital experience is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Strong data entry, organizational and multi-tasking skills is required. Demonstrates a solid working knowledge of the communication devices and software with thorough understanding of the AMCOM system. Familiarity with the general usage and spelling for specific medical terminology. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products. Experience with the Electronic Medical Record, Epic is a plus.
