Warehouse Associate - Shipping & Receiving / Order Picker

Location: Warrendale, PA

Pay Rate: $18.50/hour

Shift: First Shift (Start 6:00-8:00 AM, End 2:30-4:30 PM)

Schedule: Monday-Friday (Overtime as needed)

Position Type: Long-Term Temporary (Until Feb)

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, order picking, and ensuring all customer orders are completed safely, accurately, and on time. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced environment, where attention to detail and teamwork are key to success.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping & Receiving

Verify accuracy of all shipping and receiving documents.

Match counts to picking/purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.

Collect and file all shipping/receiving documentation.

Pick, label, and prepare orders for shipment.

Schedule inbound/outbound freight in coordination with the Warehouse Manager.

Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

Identify and process backorders for expedited handling.

Receive UPS orders, verify product categories, and stock accordingly.

Verify accuracy of incoming merchandise.

Order Picking/Pulling

Use warehouse management system (WMS) to identify items for picking.

Accurately pick customer orders and stage them for shipment.

Safely operate material handling equipment to transport and organize items.

Repack, weigh, and organize orders as needed.

Maintain warehouse equipment and report issues.

Support overall warehouse safety and security.

Additional Functions

Place incoming merchandise into inventory.

Conduct physical inventories as needed.

Operate forklifts for unloading/loading trucks.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Previous warehouse or distribution center experience preferred.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram instructions.

Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Must be flexible to work overtime when required.

Physical & Safety Requirements

Must wear protective footwear meeting ASTM F2413-11 standards (self-provided, required on Day 1).

Ability to stand, walk, lift, and operate warehouse equipment throughout the shift.
