OVERVIEW:
Working as a Full-time, Supply Chain Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the operational activities of our FMI Technology supply chain team. You will collaborate closely with buyers, planners and cross-functional departments to develop, enhance and maintain systems that ensure data integrity across all supply chain processes, including how supply chain data is stored, accessed and utilized. Your responsibilities will include executing activities that ensure accurate data management, timely coordination with suppliers and logistics partners, and the development of reporting structures and tools to support decision-making and performance tracking. Success in this role requires a detail-oriented mindset, strong analytical skills and a drive to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the department. Regular decision making and strategy with all relevant stakeholders will be essential to your success. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Analyzing data and communicating results clearly
o Designing implementation and support of corporate initiatives and strategies
o Supporting business needs
o Aligning with business objectives within supply chain
o Establishing a product rationalization strategy to support growth drivers and key initiatives, ensuring our product portfolio is optimized for profitability and growth
o Managing supplier relationships and category strategies
o Collaborating with various departments
o Designing implementation and support of corporate initiatives
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Possess or are working towards a degree related to Business, Marketing or Operations OR have industry related work experience
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Work independently as well as in a team environment
o Willingness to travel, as needed
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Prior work experience with product association, placement, and supplier negotiations
o Knowledge and familiarity with industrial products
