What you'll do...
Sr. Data Scientist - Delivery Performance
About the Role:
We are looking for a Sr. Data Scientist to join our Last Mile Delivery team. In this role, you'll design and build smart workflows that connect our advanced analytics and AI tools into real-world business processes. Your work will help create a self-improving delivery ecosystem that adapts quickly, learns continuously, and delivers better outcomes for customers, drivers, and the business.
What You'll Do
Turn Business Challenges into Data Solutions Work closely with delivery operations to understand their biggest pain points, then shape those into clear data problems we can solve.
Build Intelligent Workflows Design and connect AI-driven services (such as demand forecasts, route optimizers, or delivery time predictions) into seamless processes that support decision-making in day-to-day delivery.
Experiment and Simulate Create "what-if" scenarios and test new ideas in a safe environment before they go live. For example: What happens to cost and customer satisfaction if drivers are batched differently or scheduled at new times?
Measure and Monitor Track how well these workflows perform against business goals-delivery reliability, on-time arrivals, driver balance, and cost efficiency. Share insights and recommend improvements.
Bridge Business and Technology Act as the connector between our operations teams and global technology experts, ensuring that technical solutions truly solve business needs and that lessons from the field inform future technology.
What You Bring
Strong analytical skills and experience working with data to solve practical problems.
Solid knowledge of statistics, data modeling, or optimization.
Comfort working with data tools like Python, SQL, or similar.
Experience in building AI-enabled workflows or automation solutions.
Familiarity with prompt engineering and guiding AI systems effectively.
Curiosity and creativity to design experiments and test new ideas.
Excellent communication skills to explain data-driven insights in clear, simple terms
Nice to Have
Experience in logistics, supply chain, or delivery operations.
Ability to influence stakeholders through effective story telling.
Familiarity with AI-driven automation and data-powered decision support tools.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Option 1- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field. Option 2- Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 years' experience in an analytics related field. Option 3 - 5 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
