Description We are looking for a skilled Buyer to join our team in Beaufort, South Carolina. This is a Contract position within the manufacturing industry, where you will play a key role in managing procurement activities and vendor relationships to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in purchasing strategies and vendor negotiations.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate procurement processes to secure goods and services required for production.

Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors to achieve cost-effective purchasing agreements.

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable delivery and quality.

Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary to avoid shortages.

Analyze purchasing trends and market conditions to identify opportunities for savings.

Utilize SAP and other procurement tools to manage purchasing activities effectively.

Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all procurement actions.

Collaborate with internal teams to align purchasing strategies with production goals.

Address and resolve issues related to supplier performance or delivery delays. Requirements - Proven experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.

Proficiency in SAP and other procurement software.

Knowledge of purchasing strategies and market analysis.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations in procurement.

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
