Scope of Job

The Graduate Student Assistant will support the finance team in various tasks related to financial recordkeeping, reporting, and general support to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.

Assist with reconciliation-related activities.

Assist with various tracking activities and reports.

Assist with electronic filing systems and maintenance.

Assist with overview balance requests from departments.

Assist with the preparation of financial documents.

Assist with following up on various workflows.

Respond and interact with college departments and other university units promptly and professionally.

Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, printing, scanning, organizing documents, etc., to support the finance team's smooth operations.

Assist with other projects as needed.

Attend university training and learn the required workflows, the PeopleSoft platform, etc. to complete tasks.

Assist with front-office support as needed.

Discipline Specific Required Qualifications

Currently admitted to the Graduate School;

Be in good academic standing;

Be registered full-time for the respective semester (9 semester credit hours during the fall semester, 9 semester credit hours during spring semester, 6 semester credit hours during the summer session(s)), or in the required number of semester credit hours to fulfill the only remaining requirements on the degree plan.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

Good attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Organizational and time management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally.

Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills and take responsibility as needed.

Commitment to maintain confidentiality and integrity with sensitive information.

Salary$1,250 per month
