Medical Receptionist

Position Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing excellent patient service and supporting the smooth operation of our front office. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion.

Answer and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-in/check-out processes.

Verify insurance information and collect co-pays and other payments.

Maintain and update patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow and accurate documentation.

Handle incoming faxes, emails, and other administrative communications.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.

Familiarity with EHR systems and basic medical terminology.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
