The Division of Administration/Office of Aircraft Services has a vacancy. This job title has an assigned pay grade of AS-613.

The incumbent of this position is the assistant to the Director of Aircraft Services and assists in the day-to-day operations of the statewide aircraft program. This position is also the logistical coordinator for maintaining compliance with all safety and security regulations for Aircraft Services as well as inventory control. The incumbent of this position must contact and coordinate with other State agency personnel, statewide, at all levels from administrative to clerical.
The Division of Administration is the state government's management arm and the hub of its financial operations. Division offices perform a wide variety of activities including the following:
Overseeing the state's capital construction program
Working to provide state and federal grants for community development
Development of the state budget
Providing technology services
Giving agencies guidance in the state purchasing and contracting process as they seek goods and services
Administering a program that provides federal funds to help Louisiana residents recover from a series of devastating hurricanes
Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Responsible for the programmatic functions of the Aircraft Services operations. This operation is Inclusive of, but not limited to the following duties:
1.Coordinates program information by tracking, maintaining and entering all purchased aircraft parts, billed labor costs, fuel purchases and fuel sales into specialized aviation software program.
2.Obtain purchase orders through LaGov and ProACT systems for purchases of aircraft parts, labor, fuel purchases and fuel sales.
3.Maintains proper budgetary reporting by maintaining database and preparing monthly expenditure statements for OFSS.
4.Ensures program compliance to all State and Federal Aviation guidelines and regulations. Then, establishes and implements these program standards and guidelines to ensure complete adherence and effectiveness.
Responsible for the management of all parts, lubricants and fuel inventories. Assures that all purchasing, billing and inventories are all in compliance with State and Federal guidelines and regulations. Oversee and communicate daily with aviation parts and supply vendors and repair service providers.
Coordinate with internal DOA auditors, State Legislative Auditors and Federal Aviation Administration audits. Maintains weekly time entry into LaGov. Manage and conduct training for Safety Program for Aircraft Services. Performs certification and eligibility duties to maintain annual compliance for ProACT, property control and time keeping functions.
