Director of Construction & DevelopmentA leading gaming and hospitality organization in northwest Montana is driving growth through entertainment, resort, and casino operations. Known for combining modern amenities with deep cultural heritage, the organization continues to expand with new projects designed to create long-term opportunities and sustainable economic impact.The Director of Construction & Development is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and oversight of construction management activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with performance and contractual requirements. Projects may include large-scale developments in sectors such as hospitality, entertainment, retail, restaurant, parking, or other mixed-use venues. The role encompasses oversight of major and minor remodels, property and office renovations, as well as new construction projects. This position also assists in guiding the day-to-day operations and long-term strategic direction of construction initiatives.Why You Want This Position:Competitive Salary: $90K to $140K/year, depending on experienceBenefits include 100% employer paid Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays and Retirement 401(k) with 6% matchExecutive level role with involvement in construction development strategyYear-round work with a growing companyEssential Functions and Duties:Oversee all phases of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, logistics, manpower, and safety, to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveryManage project accounting functions such as budget approvals, cost tracking, earned value analysis, and risk mitigationCoordinate and communicate with architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and clients, holding regular progress meetings and site visitsAdminister contracts and documentation, including prime contracts, subcontracts, change orders, forecasts, and dispute resolutionEnforce quality control programs, safety standards, and compliance with building codes, regulations, and internal controlsSupport capital construction activities through RFP/RFQ preparation, bid analysis, vendor recommendations, and documentation of project activitiesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent experience may be consideredMinimum of 5 years' progressive experience in construction management, including supervision of projects from preconstruction through final deliveryProven expertise in estimating, scheduling, cost control, contracts, documentation, and construction methods, with strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and safety standardsExperience with large remodels and casino-based projects preferred; strong ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholdersProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., MS Project); AutoCAD knowledge a plusStrong understanding of legal, regulatory, and compliance issues, including building and fire codes at local, state, and federal levelsGet in touch!
