Job Description:Central State Hospital is seeking a full-time nurse for day shift for the med clinic.Monday-Friday typically 8am-4:30pm, but hours could vary based on hospital need.Essential Job Functions:- Demonstrate knowledge and application of the nursing process throughout the patients hospitalization, from admission to discharge, consistent with the patients age, gender and cultural specific needs.- Complete documentation and assignments within established time frames.- Assists the Primary Care Provider in med Clinic, schedules appointments and arranges transportation to appointments.- Performs EKG's.- Provides back-up to Ancillary Services Department for Infection Prevention.- Employee Health and UR.- Available to work on the patient care units as needed.(The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job.
